From the Frying Pan into the Fire

The Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art, Ridgefield, CT

The work speaks to the power of spatial experiences to trigger our memory into creating images of personal historical narratives.  Our visions are allegories comprised of the often veiled, unclear, capricious vocabulary of collective past experiences and images of a future, the vast spaces on either side of the illusive moment of the present.

The order of creation is portrayed through chaos, the bond of the dichotomies create the dynamic continuing cycle.  Nature and man participate in a precarious dance over time, we are part of each other, evolving through a balance of cycles which incorporate structure and deconstruction, order and chaos, birth and death.
